    The top page of the blue jay has the best consistency in quality, I think.
    I understand the impulse to shade in areas of color - and I think you fall into that habit here - but it is not so distracting (blue jay) because you keep the indications loose. There is a beautiful fluidity to the line and thus to the form.
    The others have moments of this but you are too concerned with making feathers, as opposed to making a wing.
    It is very much like making hair - a couple indications and the viewer understands what they are looking at.
